The advantages of Solartag
Stylish design
A roof is not just a functional necessity – it is an important part of the house’s appearance. With Solartag you get an elegant and timeless solution where the solar cells are completely integrated into the roof’s design.
The matte glass surfaces without reflective glare give a harmonious expression that blends perfectly with the architecture of the house, regardless of whether it is a modern new building or a classic villa.
A solar cell system placed on top of a conventional roof does not give the same stylish impression and can also be a major nuisance to the surroundings, due to a high degree of glare. That is why there are a number of local building regulations that prohibit solar cell systems of the traditional type.
With Solartag, we know from customer cases that the ban on solar cells does not include Solartag when the project is submitted to the municipality.
Local self-sufficiency
With Solartag, local self-sufficiency becomes a reality, as the integrated solar cells convert the suns rays into clean, green solar energy all year round – even when it is cloudy.
This not only gives you financial benefits, but also greater independence from fluctuating electricity prices and supply uncertainty.
With Solartag, you produce the electricity where it is needed – directly from your own roof. This reduces the load on the electricity grid and ensures greater stability in the energy supply, even during peak periods.
At the same time, you contribute to the overall security of supply and reduce dependence on central power plants and foreign energy sources. An investment in Solartag is an investment in your own finances.
Green transition
With Solartag, you actively reduce your CO₂ footprint and make a difference to the climate. Each Solar roof contributes to a sustainable future by utilizing the suns infinite energy resource. At the same time, the durable materials ensures that your roof will be part of the solution for generations to come and thus an active part of the green transition. When electricity is produced locally, the energy losses that occur when transporting electricity from, for example, large solar parks and wind turbines through the electricity grid are avoided.
Short payback of your additional investment
A Solartag is an investment that pays for itself. A traditional roof, on the other hand, is simply an expense that depreciates over time. Solartag immediately starts producing free green electricity, thereby reducing your electricity bill from day one. Depending on electricity consumption, electricity prices and other factors, the additional investment in your Solartag is repaid in a few years. After that, the solar roof earns you money.
In addition, Solartag increases the value of your property and also improves the energy rating, making the investment even more attractive.

Resistant lightweight roof
A light and strong roof means less strain on the buildings structure, less material consumption and easier installation. The low weight and high strength make Solartag an obvious choice for both new construction and renovation projects.
The innovative design in matte tempered glass not only gives a beautiful, stylish look, but also makes the roof incredibly resistant and maintenance free.
Easy assembly
The simple design and screwless brackets make installing Solartag easy and quick. It is easier to install than most conventional roof. That is why many customers have chosen to install their Solartag themselves. But professional craftsmen also find that working with Solartag is faster than conventional roofs.

To maintain the strictest standards, the certifications are continuously tested and updated in collaboration with accredited testing laboratories. From a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) perspective, Solartag is also EPD-certified (Environmental Product Declaration) by Bureau Veritas. All documentation can be found under Test and Documentation.
What do customers say?
A beautiful roof that just gives and gives!
Solartag is simply the most beautiful solution on the market when it comes to solar cells in/on the roof. It is a stylish and harmonious roof solution that covers approximately 60% of our total electricity consumption, and it produces electricity even in the winter months and when it is cloudy. And it works brilliantly together with our air to water heat pump. I would like the local plans on Bornholm - where we have a summer house - to open up the possibility of a Solartag before the roof needs to be replaced.

Super nice solar roof
We had wanted solar cells for our roof for a long time. After some searching, we became acquainted with a company that made solar cells as a roof. We started reading about the company Solartag and subsequently entered into a dialogue with them. We have had good service and guidance throughout the process and today have a super nice solar cell roof. Where we are secured for a very long time into the future. Both with a guarantee and energy. What not to like.

Top product and service all the way
Ordered a 250 sqm solar roof from Solartag for a ski cabin in Austria. The roof was installed by local craftsmen under expert guidance from Solartag—everything went smoothly. Additionally, our local electrician installed a 30 kWh battery and got the system up and running. Everything is now controlled via an app using an Austrian smart electrical system. The roof now generally produces more than enough electricity, typically around 100 kWh on a sunny April day. Top-quality product, easy to install, and works as promised. On top of that, excellent and fast customer service. Our biggest concern was whether it would look like a regular roof—and it does, complete with snow guards and everything! Highly recommended...

A solar cell story from A/B Amsterdamgården
Why not get a roof that pays for itself – and even provides extra income in the long run? That was the question that chairman Bo Østergaard asked himself when A/B Amsterdamgården was faced with a roof replacement back in the fall of 2020. The answer was an integrated solar roof, which today supplies the association with cheap electricity from above.
Now after 3.4 years, the cooperative housing association has already earned back the additional investment and the income continues.

Optimal placement and distribution
To get the most out of your Solartarg, correct placement and distribution of the active panels is crucial. The solar cells should have as much sunlight as possible without shadows from trees, buildings or other obstacles. With the right placement and distribution, you can optimize both your energy production and savings on your electricity bill.
Here you can see an overview of how much solar cells produce of the cell’s maximum output in relation to the slope and orientation of the roof surface. Read more here…
