We made it simple with Solartag

A Solartag is simple and uncomplicated to install for the Do-It-Yourself crowd. It does not require specific craftsmanship skills. The actual installation, with the registration of an authorized electrician, only takes place at the end, once the roof has been laid.

A Few Important Points

ROOF PITCH: A Solartag is a ventilated roof, which therefore requires an underlay. If the roof pitch is over 15 degrees, roll roofing material can be used. If the roof pitch is under 15 degrees, we recommend a solid underlay, e.g., with bitumen sheets. If the roof pitch is under 7 degrees, two layers of bitumen sheets on a solid underlay are required.

INSTALLATION WORK: You can walk on a Solartag during installation, which typically starts from the bottom. Just make sure to step only where the roof panels are supported by a mounting rail with brackets. This prevents micro-cracks that could affect the performance of the Solartag.

STORAGE: Always store Solartag materials covered and dry before installation. Unassembled connectors must not be exposed to moisture. Excess materials can be returned in the original packaging, provided they are undamaged.

ASBESTOS: Many homeowners have roofs containing asbestos, typically from the 1950s up to 1984, when asbestos was banned. Some carpentry companies offer asbestos removal as part of the roofing contract. However, handling asbestos requires authorization, so be aware of this if your roof contains asbestos.
