Prices for Solartag
A Solar Roof pays for itself over time. In most cases, your additional investment in a Solar Roof will pay for itself in 8-10 years. After that, it will help pay for the rest of your investment while producing green electricity.
When is the additional investment for Solartag paid off?
Based on a 150 m² roof, we assess the additional investment of installing a Solartag instead of purchasing a conventional roof when calculating the payback period:
Material cost of Solartag with 12,000 WP (equivalent to 10,000 kWh per year):
EURO 33.300
Material cost for an inactive roof (estimated):
EURO 16.650
The additional cost is therefore EURO 16.650. This is the amount used for the payback calculation. With 70% self-consumption of the produced electricity and an average electricity price of EURO 0.35/kWh, along with selling the remaining 30% surplus electricity, sold at EURO 0.06/kWh, the additional cost is paid back in just 7 years. Once the additional investment in Solatag has been paid off, the roof continues to supply free electricity, which becomes pure profit and benefits your economy.

Prices for Solartag materials
A Solartag starts at EURO 186,- incl. VAT per m². The price depends on how many active panels you want on your roof – the more active panels, the higher the price per m².
Assuming an equal distribution of active and inactive panels, the price per m² is approx. EURO 226,-. For a south/north facing house, the active panels are placed on the south side. The inactive panels are placed on the north side.
If your house faces east/west, the number of active panels can be increased, because there is solar production both in the morning and afternoon. This means a longer production time distributed throughout the day.
If your house is oriented towards several directions, a more precise calculation is needed to be able to assess how many active panels can or should be placed on the roof.
We take into account that every house is different and therefore we always calculate for each individual project. In the calculations we take into account the customer’s desired number of Watt peak and production relevant factors.
Material price includes active and inactive roof panels, cutting sheets, roof ridges, brackets, cables, connectors and inverter. Everything from the roof battens, such as underlay, penetrations and flashings, is not part of the Solartag quotation.
What does Solartag consist of?
A quote from Solartag always excludes underlayment and installation. This gives you full flexibility to either install your Solartag yourself or select a craftsman of your choice. We can also refer you to a craftsman in Denmark.
Solartag consists of a few components that together form a complete roof solution with a uniform, stylish expression. Other materials such as e.g. wind shields, gutters, flashings, windows or roof caps are not part of the Solartag. These items can be purchased from standard building suppliers. In our Assembly instruction we recommend standard products that match Solartag well, but the choice is yours. Regardless of whether it is a new build or roof renovation, we recommend using quality materials that match the long lifespan of the Solartag.
The advantage of Solartag is that it is a lightweight roof. Therefore, in most cases, the existing roof structure can be reused. We always recommend consulting a professional regarding the suitability of the existing roof structure.
Solartag makes it simple
Step 1
The quotation
When you contact Solartag or visit our showroom, we will have a dialogue about your project. How much electricity do you use and what options are available? Based on your roof and future needs, we will calculate the price.
Step 2
The delivery
Once the quotation is accepted, delivery is agreed upon.
Please note that the pallets must be stored dry until installation.
Excess materials that have been stored according to the regulations can be returned.
Step 3
The installation
Solartag is a material supplier. This means that you choose who installs your roof. The Solartag is simple to install, and some customers choose to install it themselves. An authorized electrician is required when the Solartag is connected to the grid.
