In the middle of Valby, the AB Ålholmhus cooperative housing association has made a bold and far-sighted choice. The association, which consists of 96 apartments and 4 commercial leases, has chosen to replace their old eternit roof with a 106 kWp large Solartag.
Chairman of the board Ole says:
“When the association was to replace our old eternit roof according to the 10-year plan, it was natural to look into the possibility of getting a solar roof. We found that the price difference between a conventional roof and a Solartag was relatively small. At the same time, we experienced great support from the residents, so the decision was not difficult.”
Thus, Solartag became not only a climate-friendly solution – but also an economical and aesthetically obvious choice.
More than a roof project
The solar roof is part of a larger green renovation project in the association:
Insulation – for lower heat consumption
Sedum roof on flat areas – for rainwater management
Solar roof – for green electricity
Green facade facing busy road – for better air quality and healthier indoor climate
