New construction with reduced climate footprint

“We were going to demolish an old house and build a new house on the site. In this connection, we wanted to look at how we could do some climate compensation for the new construction. So there were some ideological considerations in the process. At the same time, we had chosen to install a geothermal heating system, which uses electricity.

The design phase coincided with the large price increases for gas and electricity, and that is one of the reasons why we chose to look at self-sufficiency. We searched for “roofs with integrated solar cells” and fell for the solution that we thought was the best, now that we had the opportunity to choose a roof with a built-in solution from the start. The solar roof fits the look of the house perfectly and we are very satisfied with the end result. The construction company had not tried to install this type of roof before, so they had to be informed about the procedure. But it went really well.”
