The appreciation corresponds to the investment

“We have replaced an older eternit roof. We did so for several reasons; It was supposed to happen within a foreseeable number of years anyway, and we did not want to have to change the roof when we are 70 years old. We spoke to the bank, who in connection with taking out a green loan, sent an appraiser to look at our house. Their assessment was clear – the house would increase in value by the same amount that we would have to pay extra for Solartag (compared to concrete roof tiles). This was a decisive factor for the project.

We have looked at several solar cell roofs, and felt that our needs were met by Solartag, which gave us good advice. But it did not have to be solar cell panels, because it does not make sense to drill holes in a roof. When guests say that it is a nice roof, we ask: Can you see the solar cells? We have had a single passerby who recognized the roof as a Solartag under the assembly and asked about it with interest.”

Geeks with old cars

“I tinker with old cars and have an older Jaguar. It’s a passion. So an electric car is not immediately obvious. But it could be in the future. The solar roof is in any case a future-proofing of the house, regardless of whether it will be us or the next owners of the house who buy an electric car. We have purchased the Xolta battery to get the flexibility it provides, in the form of purchasing cheap electricity and storing surplus production.”
