From slate eternit to slate-like solar cells

“Our beautiful old house needed a new roof because the old slate roof was leaking. So we first looked at real slate, but it would cost 2 million. Then we found Solartag online and thought that it – with its switch-like appearance – could be a good alternative. So it wasn’t really because we were looking at solar cell roofs in the first place. But it’s an extra plus that solar cells help pay for the roof over time. We had most of the supporting structure replaced because of advice and a big advantage of Solartag is that it is a lightweight roof. We contacted Solartag and got the right advice, so we were super satisfied. The task itself required a lot of coordination, also as a “project manager” on my own house.

We chose a local craftsman due to distance and driving. He does all the craftsman tasks in Knuthenborg Safaripark. Our 10 kW Xolta battery was also installed by a local electrician.”

Absolutely wild reaction

“Changing holiday guests from Bandholm Hotels often come by during the summer and ask about our roof. It’s fun to see their reaction, because not many people guess that it’s a solar roof. Our neighbours have also been very impressed.”
