New roof without mirror effect

“We had an old eternit roof that needed replacing. That’s why we wanted to find a sustainable replacement and it became a Solar Roof. We had looked online and at houses with solar roofs. But we didn’t want a roof with a mirror-like effect. Our house is not a futuristic house, so the new roof had to fit the style. We are very happy with the result and with the Solar Roof, which really fits the style well. At the same time, we know that we have done something good for the environment and future sustainability, while saving on energy costs. We can follow our production and consumption on the app and therefore it is easy to adjust our habits and plans to match the weather. On sunny days, it is used for laundry, baking cakes and charging. District heating will soon be coming to the area, so we can skip the gas boiler. The solar panels will first and foremost ensure free electricity for the household and for the electric car.”

The electric car charges at home

“We control the electric car via an app so that it charges slowly during the day. This way, the electric car doesn’t take all the power from other functions. It runs fine, partly because we use the train to work and only drive outside of working hours.”
