Complex roof with many angles

“Our 30-year-old glazed tile roof required renovation. It was about to reach the 100,000 kroner class to extend its lifespan by a number of years. Therefore, we decided instead to go for a completely new roof with solar cells. Here we fell for Solartag because of its aesthetics and long lifespan.

The house is a bricklayer’s villa from the 1960s and it has many angles, slopes and roof windows. So it is very complex. Therefore, there was not room for so many active panels, but in return we have production in both the east, west and south. Our new roof has fully lived up to our expectations.

There is a rapid production, which fills up our 10 kW Xolta battery, so that the house’s evening needs are met, including a son who games. More and more functions are being electrified, so we are very satisfied with the transition to our own production of electricity.”

Quality of life being independent

“We think the roof has been a success and it lives up to our expectations; to avoid being subject to a religious approach to savings advice. It is also quality of life to be able to use electricity without worrying about the next electricity bill.

We have natural gas, so the electricity production only goes to the household. I charge my electric car at work, but maybe another electric car will come, so any surplus can be considered here.”
